Canary Capital Files for US-Focused Crypto ETF
Canary Capital has submitted an S-1 registration statement to the SEC for its 'American-Made crypto ETF' (MRCA), targeting digital assets with strong U.S. ties. The fund will track the Made-in-America Blockchain Index, focusing on projects originating in the U.S., coins predominantly minted or validated domestically, and protocols operating primarily in the region.
Nate Geraci of NovaDius Wealth Management noted the ETF's selective criteria, while Bloomberg's Eric Balchunas observed that the success of existing crypto ETFs has spurred innovative offerings—though eligibility for this fund remains unclear. Custody will be managed by a South Dakota trust company, with shares trading on Cboe BZX under the MRCA ticker.
